OP SCEPTRE WEEK

🔪 Operation Sceptre Week – 17th to 23rd November 2025

Hi All - to keep you in the loop with this weeks concentrated efforts from the Police Team, this week is predominantly around Knife Crime.

Operation Sceptre is a national week of action focused on tackling knife crime and knife-enabled offences.

Throughout this week, your Safer Neighbourhood Team will be:

✅ Engaging with schools – educating young people about the dangers and consequences of carrying knives, and working to divert those at risk towards positive choices.
✅ Hosting street meets with a knife amnesty bin – giving residents the chance to safely surrender unwanted knives and help keep them off our streets.
✅ Visiting retailers – ensuring Challenge 25 is applied when selling knives and that educational posters are displayed.

Local Knife sweeps to be carried out - jointly with other service providers

20th Nov – Blackwell Field
21st Nov – Hilcote footpaths
22nd Nov – Shetland Road
23rd Nov–Westhouses field
